The YMCA has Something for Everyone!

Posted: 7/8/2009

We have done it!! We have made it half way through the summer!! We are having a great time at camp with all of your wonderful campers! We hope that your campers are enjoying themselves at camp, swimming, canoeing, hiking and doing all of the other fun activities.

Just a few reminders…it is HOT at camp please do not forget to pack your child a water bottle and sunscreen every day. We want everyone to enjoy their time at camp and keeping your kids hydrated and protected from the sun plays a big part in making sure they are having a great time at camp.

Our 2nd lock-in of the summer is on Friday, July 10th 7pm-7am and is $12.00 per camper/$17.00 non-camper. We will have our last lock-in on Friday, July 31st same time and same prices. Please pack a swim suit, towel, sleeping bag and sleeping clothes. We will provide dinner, snacks and a small breakfast.

Once again, we hope everyone is having a great summer and if you have any questions about camp events please don’t hesitate to call.

Sincerely,
Jessica Zmuda
Youth Program Director

Dear Campers & Parents,

Registration is NOW open! If you are ready to sign up for summer camp you can register at the Oxford Y For Now or the Anniston YMCA.

We are very excited for another great summer at YMCA Summer Day Camp. We will begin camp June 1st this year and we hope that you will join us for another fun-filled summer!

YMCA Summer Day Camp is divided into 3 age-based camps:

Kinder Camp:            3-5 year olds (held at Anniston YMCA)

Day Camp:                6-12 year olds (held at Y Camp Hamilton)

CLT Camp:                13-15 year olds (travels)

Kinder Camp: This age group does not travel to Y Camp Hamilton. They are located at our YMCA in Anniston. During Kinder Camp the kids will swim, go to the park, play in the gym, participate in arts and crafts and have activities based on weekly themes.

Day Camp: This group will travel to Y Camp Hamilton ever day (weather permitting). They will be involved in canoeing, archery, arts and crafts, swimming, sports, group games, and weekly themed activities.

CLT Camp: In this program campers will be provided the opportunity to develop their skills and understanding of leadership and personal responsibility through camp activities. These campers will participate in community outreach projects, field trips and all of the daily adventures that our day campers are involved in. This program is by application only. Prospective participants may apply at the YMCA in Anniston with Jessica.

All weeks are open at this time.

Due to the large demand for summer camp last year new deposit and payment policies have been implemented. These policies are to insure all campers have an equal opportunity to attend YMCA Summer Day Camp. Please read the information regarding payments and deposits and we strongly urge you to pay camp deposits early! Every session will fill to capacity.

Have a safe and fun Spring season and we hope to see all of you at camp this year.

Sincerely,
Jessica Zmuda
Youth Program Director
