WATER ACTIVITIES

Water Exercise Class: Water exercise is the perfect answer to your fitness needs because it is adaptable to all personal conditions. Physical rehab, injuries, post surgeries, are great because of the “weightlessness” of water. You can target specific body areas to exercise or combine several movements into a complete head-to-toe activity.
This class will help build muscle tone, increase your metabolism, strength, improve balance, coordination and range of motion as well as relieve tension with low impact movements. Swimming ability not a factor, you choose your water depth. YMCA certified lifeguard is on deck during class.

 

Class times: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00 A.M. to 8:45 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. to 11:45 A.M.


NEW!!! Deep Water Aerobics NEW!!! : This class is designed for a deep water workout. Float belts may be used to help with buoyancy. Great work out especially for those who are looking for a vigorous new water exercise program. Try this wonderful invigorating class with experienced instructor: Jenny Wallace

 

Monday & Thursday 6:15 P.M.-7:00 P.M.

Fee: Spirit, Mind and Body Class Pass required $35 per 10 class visits
(Program Member also $9.00 Daily Guest Fee)


Water Aerobics Class: Exercise designed to use muscles of a specific area of the body while in the water. Workouts are comprehensive and benefit all aspects of training. Swimming ability not a factor to be a participant. YMCA certified lifeguard is on deck during class.

 

Class times: Tuesday 6:15-7:00 P.M.

Adult Water Fitness Fees: Facility Members: FREE!
Program Members: $9 daily guest fee

TO BE A SHARK ? ?

YMCA TIGER SHARKS SWIM TEAM: The Y Tiger Sharks swim team is a great opportunity for swimmers to enjoy the challenge of competing against their own individual performances as well as other teams. Y Tiger Shark members must be a YMCA Family Facility Member and must pay with the YMCA’s automatic monthly payment system.

Anyone five years or older may try out for the Y Tiger Sharks. To qualify, the swimmer must be able to swim 25 yards of any stroke and have a love of the water. Competitions are held in the YMCA league. For additional information, please contact Director of Membership and Program Development Lora Nelson at the YMCA, 238-9622.


YMCA Tiger Shark Team Fees: Facility Members Only: $ 30 per month per swimmer

YMCA Tiger Shark Fees: $30 per month and must be a Family Facility Member

Practice times Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 4:30pm- 6:00pm
Friday 3:45pm- 5:15pm (Dry Land at the Oxford Y For Now)
